International Women’s Day Post Card Project

Connecting the Globe Through Messages of Hope
“International Women’s Day (IWD), originally called International Working Women’s Day, is marked on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women’s economic, political and social achievements.
Since its birth in the socialist movement, International Women’s Day has grown to become a global day of recognition and celebration across developed and developing countries alike.”

The YWCA Sudbury invited women and children to take part in our Postcard Project;Connecting the Globe Through our Messages of Hope. Women and children made 150 postcards with messages of hope that were then mailed to our sisters across the globe. Check out the post cards, below:
