Girl Power with Our Crater

Girl Power

#GIRLPOWER there’s nothing like it! Are you a nasty woman? A girl boss? Are you a dude who doesn’t use feminist as a dirty word? Get ready to celebrate at a party where female empowerment is the theme of the night!

With a host of local lady performers and a DJ dance party to all your favourite female artists, you’ll be feeling the #GIRLPOWER for weeks! Our Crater has worked hard to assemble a line-up of talented female performers to showcase the amazing #GIRLPOWER we have right here in Sudbury!
Performers include Dominica Frometa, a Laurentian University student with a voice and smile that can light up any room. Thea May has been popping up around town delighting audiences with a voice that manages to be equally smoky and playful at the same time, covering all your favourite songs. A regular at many venues in the area Natalie Crispo, she may be little but her voice is mighty! Finishing off the night and truly proving girls can do it too, we have DJ BasslineJack blasting all the danceable hits from
your favourite female artists and more!

#GIRLPOWER takes place on Friday, April 28th at the Durham Social, 78 Durham Street. Doors open at 9pm with musical performances beginning at 9:30. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, 20% discount at the door for ladies – you get paid less, you should pay less! Advance tickets $7 if you are a Young Professionals Association of Greater Sudbury member.
Proceeds from this event will go towards YWCA Sudbury’s Annual Power of Being a Girl Conference. This annual event empowers young girls in Sudbury and across Canada to discuss the topics that affect them and prepares them for the future with workshop presentations on healthy relationships, media and body image and communication skills.
