The Power of Being A Girl Conference is a YWCA Canada signature event that is funded through the proceeds of Women of Distinction. This conference provides girls with an opportunity to discuss topics that interest and affect them. The workshop topics that are presented at the conference are healthy relationships, media and body image, and communication, along with a myriad of interactive and engaging discussions. Through participation in the conference, the girls build skills that can be transferred to all facets of their lives as they develop into healthy independent women.
